Im 30 years old and just completed a laser eye treatment for black veins under my eyes causing my under eye to go black despite the amount of sleep or night cream used.

I was told the swelling should be gone with in 24 hours but were going in to day 3 now and despite using ice packs there still pretty swollen. Is this normal?
Also, how long should I wait before I expect to see full results of this procedure?

So every year, I go to the LASIK/PKI place and ask if they can fix my vision, and every year they laugh at me and tell me to come back the next year…

I am extremely hyperopic. One contact is +6. The other contact is +4.5. I do not have astigmatism. I am in my mid-20s, and have no other medical problems. My vision has not improved or degraded since I was a kid.

Is there any treatment available for my vision, even experimental? Is there anything in development that I can watch for over the next few years? Is it worthwhile, at this point, to just have them correct my vision as far as possible, as in the last decade, it seems there has been no progress made on my end of the spectrum?

I am concerned that over time, if my vision degrades, I will no longer be able to even wear contacts.
I don’t care if its PKI, LASIK, or any other kind treatment.

My son is 15 years old and his vision is bad, according to the Optometrist its getting worse by the year. He needs to wear his glasses 24/7. I had consider the lasik surgery for him but not sure how old you have to be in order to have lasik surgery or if his vision would get better. Any suggestions?

I know that their ability to advertise has been limited in some states. But, beyond things like laser eye surgery, and places like k-clinic, I have never seen an advertisement for a general practice doctor’s office or a hospital.

If possible, I would appreciate some information in the way of articles, the name of the law, or the reason behind not letting doctors advertise prices.
